Animal Totems: Your Spiritual Best Friends!

Animals are a fantastic way for spirit energy to find its way to people. Animals carry with them a special psychic sensitivity and support that many of us already experience in the form of companionship, inspiration, and joy. For those of us willing to go deeper, we can also learn from the spiritual messages carried by our furry, feathered, and finned friends. Each animal has a message, or theme, unique to them that we can learn from. Below are some basic answered questions about the world of animal spirit guides and 20 everyday animal messages explained. Enjoy: How do we know a specific animal totem is attempting to reach out? You will see this animal repetitively popping up in a variety of forms: you might see it, hear it, watch a commercial with the animal, dream about it, or even see a symbol of that animal on buildings or cars. I would to drive to work and see a large bird, appearing to be a hawk, on a truck that seemed to travel the hi...

Walking the Plank: How and When to Take the Plunge!

Know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em is a concept that requires both self-awareness and skill to answer. How do you know the difference? I often come across clients who have difficulty discerning the difference between trusting their inner voice versus allowing change to occur and be flexible. I would say most folks get this wrong and tend to adhere to one extreme or the other. There are even some of us who try to figure this out along the way but bend like the changing winds, or death grip to the wrong things and situations. But how do you know the difference? When is life calling for you to shift, and when is life calling for you to stand your ground? Here's how you know what to do when: Stop, Drop, and Listen The universe, your higher self, and your spiritual team will make it obviously clear, you just have to listen. Our lessons have a way of showing up again and again in slightly different costumes but with the same purpose. You have to be able to engage...

Your true self is calling you home, here's how you get there.

Knowing your "truth" is like feeling your feet in the earth and being grounded in who you are, where you are, and why you are. It's not an easy thing to do but it's necessary for peace and the pursuit of purpose and here's why... Love is a battlefield and so is social pressure Everywhere we go, and most often under our roofs, we are influenced by social media, friends, loved ones and bosses to be what they expect, demand, or hope for. This influence, albeit subtle or hammer-like, affects us. In its most dangerous form, it's long-lasting and barely noticeable slowly taking us away from our own inner voice until we get to a point where we believe our inner voice is actually what others' have projected onto us. At that point, we're so out of touch with our true desires, we don't even remember they existed at all. It's like a poison that kills those dreams slowly. I somehow forgot what is was like to dream, like a child dreaming, like full on...

8 Reasons Why Spirituality is Necessary for Happiness

We seem to be intimately aware that being spiritual, is good thing. But what is it and why? I define spirituality as a deep and intimate connection with yourself, others, and a higher power. Spirituality can also be described as being attentive to what is sacred. I just love the word sacred and use it often to emphasize the value and meaning of things, but we all think of spirituality differently. There are many ways in which people seek spiritual fulfillment and how you find it, is the right way. Some find peace in the ocean, the trees, in human connection, or in a religious church. I experience spirituality in the Akashic Records, through ascended beings, and in the eyes of the people I love; that's my religion. I recently read a study that claimed 96% of Americans believe in some sort of a God, so we all seem to be onto something, even if we can't touch it in our hands, fully define it, or all agree on it. Here are my top 8 reasons why spirituality makes people happy... 1....

The Softness Inside

Most recently I have embarked on the journey of motherhood and I have learned that this journey is not without glimmering relevance to self-criticism and self-sacrifice.  I am tasked with looking at how to embrace softness and integrate it within my being. It seems to only flow outward to my child, to the staff I supervise, to the clients I serve, to my partner, and most recently to a camera lens staring back at me at work. Softness only kicks back to me, from me, minimally and without intention. I have the ability to maintain a bird's eye view in the moment but it doesn't help me much because I still neglect or criticize myself. I just watch myself, totally aware, neglecting self-care or criticizing, which somehow seems worse than being ignorant to the need for it at all. Why do I do this? I am a sensitive soul and I yearn for the softer side of life. I appreciate, soak in, and linger in hearing meaningful music, sensing emotion, making eye contact,...

Welcome Back Friends!

It's been a while and I'm back. Hoping for all those souls that were interested in reading my blogs in the past remain connected to me as I embark on a new journey and phase of my life. I have noticed that my energetic bursts of creativity, are just that, sporadic and inspiration driven. My energies have been recently cultivating a grounded home base and nurturing the baby bud of new life in my son Cai. Therefore, the blog has taken a back seat. I have however, experienced the aching and longing for creative spiritual writing once again. I welcome your ideas on topics that you'd like me to explore by commenting on this post with your suggestions. Until then, I will follow my feet with the topics that are divinely given to me. Please remember to add your email address if you wish to be notified of new blog entries. I can't think of a more appropriate time to reinstate the Rasa Files than on Christmas Eve. I have found myself tearing up to Christmas music in the ca...

And then what?

Recently I have been experiencing the beautiful soul challenge of standing in my solar plexus. For me, this means being called to examine and affirm the worth and conviction of my belief systems. The lens in which I see the world has been known to me as different and I'm happy to say that I have remained unwavering in those beliefs. For many of us, we experience the challenge of others' opinions and we either dramatically reject or softly acquiesce. It is not a comfortable experience when we are challenged.   This blog entry is dedicated to those who challenge and are challenged in hopes that the quiet voice within is strengthened. I am saddened to live in a world where hope and the possibility of change are seen as distant and unreachable goals. My perspective of the human experience is that within us exists the limitless possibility of evolution. It has been brought to my attention lately that this is "idealism." I hope to expand and exploit the inherent fallacy i...
