The 3 Words That Explain Spiritual Momentum

Momentum is the force that propels us like a strong, almost unconscious, current. You can swim against it but it's definitely more efficient and productive to go with the flow. It's a lot like being on a roller coaster, the g-force is not something you can see, but it's certainly something you can feel.

I get a lot of questions from clients in my practice about manifesting things they want: money, relationships, power, ease, materialism, good health, whatever. Something really interesting I've noticed by asking these questions in the Akashic Records are that people definitely have a natural momentum towards achieving some things with grace, and a total stagnation or arduousness, in achieving other things.

I can tell you why this is in 3 words: karma, experiences and gifts.

Karma. If you remember from my other blogs, karma is not punishment, suffering, or payment. The Masters and Guides in the Akashic Records roll their symbolic eyes at me when this comes up. They say that humans are far too attached to suffering and hence choose to embody the victim archetype by making a choice to believe that karma is punishment. Karma is attraction, balancing and an energy accumulation. Your own karma is a type of momentum, or movement, that has been imprinted upon you prior to your incarnation and it's likely to find it's way to your doorstep with little to no effort on your part. This happens because your soul has made agreements about things it wants to make peace with or learn, including patterns, people and experiences and so those things are naturally attracted to you like a magnet. Since we're all different, and have lived diverse lifetimes, we attract some lessons that others wouldn't, and vice versa.

Example: Consider someone who has struggled with financial lack; seemingly over and over, despite working really hard. This person may have a past life as a slave who believed he/she was not worthy of independence, abundance, or power. The karmic momentum of this will be drawn to the person as a reminder to harmonize or transform this belief system so that the soul can realign itself as a divine and deeply worthy person. In other words: financial lack is not manifesting because the person isn't worthy, it's manifesting because the person believes he/she isn't worthy, and that belief is the karma that needs attention.

Experiences. Based on our past life experiences, meaning the types of interactions our soul has had, the places it has visited, and the patterns it has built, depict what we are drawn to and what's drawn to us. For example, we might be really comfortable with water, sailing, swimming and living with little to no material things because of several lifetimes as a islander and tribe member on a Caribbean coast. This means, we'd likely be really comfortable living with others, using nature as a resource, not caring for fancy things, and being drawn to all things ocean. However, you put that same person in an engineering firm, he/she might find it incredibly challenging to work independently, with technology, indoors, and away from nature. Why? Well it's just not the momentum of that person's past life experiences. There is a unique set of circumstances that align to that person and he/she will be naturally drawn to it. Experiences are a kind of momentum that feels either really right, or really wrong, depending on what your soul is used to.

Gifts. This one is really great. One of my favorite questions I suggest clients ask their guides in a session with me is about exploring a past life gift or talent that they are not currently using. This helps people reconnect with innate skills they are good at. The gifts we have now, are often correlated to our sense of fulfillment so it's great when we can express it because we tend to be happier. People with certain gifts are just naturally good at them... you know those people: the green thumb, the natural pet whisperer, the surgeon, the brilliant test takers, the inspired artists, the expert collaborates, athletes, leaders and business people. We all have something that flows to us like magic because our souls have honed those skills for thousands of years. Now that's momentum! This also means don't expect a spiritual, empathy-driven gal like myself to be even remotely good at mathematics. I just don't have that talent.

Souls are all very unique, and so there really is no telling how things are downloaded from karma, experiences, or skill. For example, how one lifetime trauma affects one person, can be very different in how it affects another person. The evidence of these things are always in the present lifetime; hidden in our careers, patterns, and relationships. Your guides and the Akashic Record can tell you exactly why a certain goal is really "easy" or really "hard" to achieve. I only put quotes there because as I write this, I am being told by my guides that the words easy and hard are judgments we should't assume. They say it would be much better if we were to just see our momentum, or lack thereof, as it is, and refrain from labeling it. By labeling it, we re-energize it, and our goal as humans are to come home to a place of balance and neutrality by making peace with things. And you just can't make peace with the things you judge. (ouch!)

For those of you wanting to build momentum in shifting patterns towards better, healthier, things, be ready to throw all of your attention in that direction. The process can be very much like building and starting up a machine.. finding the parts, putting it together, rearing it up, generating energy, and learning how to use it. The good news is that it is done every single day in your life on some level. Slowly and progressively, we shift patterns and sling that momentum into all kinds of new directions. Just be sure of one thing..pay attention to clearing up the previous momentum first. Nobody wants to be pulled in multiple directions at once, when that happens, we just don't go anywhere at all!

If you want to learn more about the momentum in your life, why it's there, and the experience, gift(s), or "point of injury" of the karma, reach out to me here. This work, is totally inspiring for me to do, and it's truly my honor to allow my own momentum of soul healing to align with yours.

Jai!

"There will come a time when you believe everything is finished...

...That will be the beginning." --Louis L' Amour Endings are merely new beginnings within the same circle of lessons only with higher vibrations. My life experiences have led me to greater levels of awareness and insight into the limitless, divine powers in my being. Shifting and changes are the avenues that lead to the path of my destiny. Sometimes however, I see these roads as scary. I know though that the challenges I experience are human in nature and exist as fear of losing and letting go. Why can't I be a Buddha everyday? The human experience is funny like that, in how we grasp and hold onto matters no longer meant for us. It's like a tug of war with spirit. We are afraid of loss. When we hold tight, life becomes more challenging. The exhaustion that comes from enduring a difficult life experience undoubtedly gives way to a serenity at some point. We have no choice but to surrender. A cycle is complete, a lesson learned, a loss gaping, a tired soul. Must we ...

Synchronicity and Divine Timing is where it's at!

So I am not someone who believes that the world revolves haphazardly around the cosmos with no rhyme or reason; that all events that happen are coincidental, unrelated and compartmentalized. I believe the exact opposite. In fact, I believe everything is purposeful and happening exactly when it should. I work with others on accepting this reality and divine law although it appears to be one of the most contested spiritual philosophies. If I received a dime for every time I heard "I'm not supposed to be here right now," I'd be living in the mountains in India owning the most fancy temple money could buy. Any of these other statements, sound familiar? "This or that event shouldn't have happened to me," or "I wish I could be somewhere else in my life right now," or "Why am I stuck?" There are many variations of these statements but in essence they are all underlying a very chronic human misconception: the inability to understand and...
